First Aid Kit

As with anything when it comes to hurricane preparedness get this stuff ahead of time.  Drugstores will be mobbed just before the storm and closed for days after.  You need to have at least a one-month supply of any prescription drugs your taking. Try to keep an extra 2-week supply of prescription drugs on hand.  Some of the insurance companies won't like this idea to much, but tough beans.  Now here are some of the things you need to keep in your house-hold first aid kit.  The first thing you need is a good water tight container to keep all this stuff in. Walmart has a great selection of plastic storage bins.  Get a good first-aid handbook, this is very important you may be on your own for some time.
